A couple of months ago I finally ticked my New York and Las Vegas holiday off the bucket list. All I can say is, ‘Wow, New York, what an awesome place!’ The wife and I toured the city for 2 weeks, we befriended a few locals we came across, took in the sights and sounds and lightened my wallet along the way due to the intoxicating nature of the various ‘spring sales’ strewn about in Fifth Avenue and Spring St.. We also ventured into Brooklyn and took a day trip to Washington DC to see the monuments. We then spent 1 week in Las Vegas and took in a couple of shows in which was just amazing!
Photographically speaking I did set out a challenge for myself not to take the typical ‘touristy’ photos whilst in the city. Not easy. So I decided to create theme – people and motion and a dab of awesome touristy photos – In this way it gave me something to focus on and to watch out for.
Other places I photographed was Route 66 and the Grand Canyon. I pretty much took zero ‘creative’ photos in Las Vegas and Washington DC. Why? Because you can just google these images.
